This is Part I of the FBAR: who is filing. This tool prepares an individual's own FBAR.
This tool is for individuals filing their own FBAR. Entities (corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates) and consolidated filings need different handling.
A US citizen, a US green-card holder (lawful permanent resident), or someone who meets the substantial-presence test for US residency. Only a United States person files an FBAR.
Your Social Security Number, or ITIN if you have one instead.
The FBAR reports one calendar year. You file it the year after.
FinCEN uses this on the filing. BSA E-Filing asks for it so it can send you the confirmation.
